DESCRIPTION:The Orwellermen are very excited to be performing on the Sat and Sunday at the stellar event of the Sea Shanty calendar. \nEstablished in 2003\, the festival is one of the world’s largest maritime music events\, attracting shanty crews from across the UK\, Europe and further afield. With performances spanning the town—from cosy pubs to professionally engineered main stages\, street corners to parish churches—it’s a true celebration of seafaring heritage and song. \nWe will be cycling to the Festival\, leaving from Ipswich on the 6th June raising funds for RNLI\, Prostate Cancer UK and Selig\, a local charity providing accommodation for homeless people. \n  \n

Soon to be seen at the Falmouth International and Harwich Sea Shanty Festivals. \nCarys\, a singer songwriter from Suffolk with an enthusiastic\, evocative stage presence\, and a natural charm that has won her many admirers\, not only within the folk/rock scene\, but also far beyond it. \nThe Suffolk Harp Companions\, a friendly group who meet monthly to play together and share their love of the harp with guidance from harp teacher Clare Bakewell.
